The lake is located between the towns of Cucunuba y Ubate known for their dairy cattle. The area is surrounded by wetlands and rocky cliffs of great beauty. The lagoon offers tranquility among reed beds and dairy farms. In its waters live bird communities. On the side of the lagoon there are high rocks which serve as an excellent viewpoint over the lake.

The trail takes us to the top of one of the hills and in total is about 7 km long.  

The cost includes transportation and guidance. Each person must bring his lunch and water. One should be prepared for weather changes.
